Weekend Fulfillment

Weekend Fulfillment

One fulfilling weekend has gone by. It may not be the perfect start for the team i formed, but it definitely taught us all the best things that shall guide us on our next projects. The experience did not only gave lessons on my events business, moreso, it showed things related to all other aspectsIMG_20140726_093624 :

-we carried and loaded materials, that’s physical strength and flexibility: the more i should take care of health (good thing I run, workout and dance)

-edited a video that’s not originally our task, that’s resourcefulness, creativity and familiarity to technology: thanks to my basic IT knowledge (and thanks to my IT colleagues/friends who always answer my queries and guided me whenever I’ve got related questions)

-encountered rains, traffic, very early guest arrivals, uncontrollable things; yet we managed to keep our cool and that’s patience, calmness and presence of mind (good thing, we’ve learned and trained with ethics and proper etiquette, plus all of us have had experiences on student leadership and orgs)

These are just some, and really, for each event, something will come up and make you realize either how thankful you’ll be because you’ve done something beforehand, or regret because you’ve neglected things that should have been helpful to you at present.

Nevertheless, the smiles and all the “thank you” that we got at the end of the night took all our stresses away. Greatest achievement is that we made our client, our friends happy on their most momentous day together.

BOHOL : Family and Travelling

BOHOL : Family and Travelling

I make time for travels…most specially with my family.

It is the last night of our annual family trip and it is in Bohol, Philippines this year.

Tagbilaran Airport

For three years now, I have been booking out-of-town trips for my folks. I may not be that very able to bring them on tours before, but from the time that I was blessed with some extra gifts on my pocket, I decided that it’s time to make a lot of experiences with my parents and my sister who is also able to give her share of blessings now.

Three days and two nights. We have been on road trips, restaurants, churches, beach, hanging bridge and all the must-see spots of this place. But the best part of this trip? The little things in between…

Chocolate hills

The smiles on their lips
The amazement on their eyes
The loud and tummy-aching laughters
Papa’s funny stunts–his creative photo poses–that makes Mama enjoy the views and the tour more
My sister’s kakulitan and bed hugs
…and a lot more that were captured on photos.

Bohol adventure

Every peso spent on bookings, accommodations, food and tours…they are are worth it. I am glad that in spite of the generation gap, my parents have realized the value of the trips we do together…

habang nakakalakad pa kami, habang nakakakita pa at habang kaya pa.

Chocolate hills

True enough…and I will not get tired of bringing them to places.

Thank you, beautiful people of Bohol, Vest Pension House staff, and to manong Dexter and Junjun (Samantha Tours) for making our trips orderly and enjoyable!

Tarsier Conservation site

And thank you again, Lord for gracing us with safety, good weather and healthy bodies that made this trip extra pleasurable. Please continue to keep us together and guide us always…and grant us more blissfully memorable adventures!

So…next travel?

Rescuing Respiratory System Downtime

If I have a choice, I’d rather wake up at the wrong side of the bed than with sore throat, dry cough and nasal congestion.

I admit I’m a hardheaded one when it comes to taking medicines and multivitamins, coz it always makes me more prone to sickness. Ironic. However, I’ve got a few items that never fail to rescue me from the threat of cough and colds.

For about 3 days or so, sore throat has been my morning enemy. Last night, dry cough disturbed my sleep, and this morning congested nose greeted me! No choice! I need to fight this sickness so I can work properly, avoid my bad mood episodes and be able to train for my upcoming 10k run! So today, I decided to take care of myself a little more and take my “personal sickness defense buddies” – tested remedies, introduced and recommended by friends and family – you too can try them and see if their magic works!

New Year’s Resolution? To be fashionably stylish and beautiful!!!

Happy New Year!!!

It’s my first blog post for the year and I’m starting it with a stylish BANG! *yehey!*

Though it’s almost the end of January, it’s never too late to share my fashion attempts from the past weeks. And yes, 2013 will be a year of experimenting and going wild on styles 🙂

I made a promise to myself to clean-up and rearrange my closets (both at home and at the apartment)…and this time, make use of those long-time-hidden dresses and pieces of clothing that may even have ran out of the present style!

Join me as I get a little bit out of my usual fashion tastes and style! We’ll get a bite of adventure on colors, prints, lengths and themes! Now isn’t that exciting?

Visit the Style Experiments page for daily look inspirations 🙂 And share yours too!

Mix and Match. Experiment. Create Styles. Get Dolled-up. Stay Beautiful. Be Adventurous!

This is my ultimate wish and my theme for my 27th birthday, for which, I celebrated last, last Monday, Oct. 8. For 2 days, I’ve been posting on FB and tweeting about a little request on my special day — simple, I just want people to post happy pictures on my wall so as to spread happiness as it is viewable over the feeds and my timeline. I also mentioned that I’ll randomly choose a recipient of a ‘happy’ gift, of which, even if it is just a small token, it’s my way of sharing my appreciation to my friends and family who’ve been with me through all these years.

I’d like to have a keepsake of this special activity, so I’m sharing with you the Happy Pictures collection that poured in during that day as posted by my closests friends and family (ordered alphabetically, according to the names of those who posted):

1. Ann Tan (MBA classmate, AGSB/ “sis”) – Whatsapp

2. Dessy Batoon (College Classmate,UST) – FB

3. Edel Cajucom (my sister) – FB

4. Gel Allas (College dormmate) – FB

5. Jessica Chua (UST college friend/ “sis”) – Twitter

6. Kate Guillermo (UST College classmate/ my “ate kate”) – Twitter

7. King Lao (Codeworks officemate) – FB

8. MC Santos (UPPC Officemata/ kumare) – FB

9. Mon Yu (my Scarlet ‘shoti’) – FB message

10. Paolo Macatbag (SGV friend) – BBM

11. Ralph Luna (childhood bestfriend) – Twitter

12. Randy Flores (Codeworks officemate) – FB

13. Rhoda Malazarte (my cousin) – FB

So to help me pick the lucky recipient of my HAPPY TREAT…I used to generate a number (using the same numbering as above).

and the winner is…

number 5 and that is…

and you won this treat…

Congratulations!!! I shall personally give you your treat!!!

Thank you to everybody who participated this little activity. You all made my day extra happy and the effort really made me feel very important on my day! Make happiness viral…share it, give it and ‘infect’ others with it!

May God bless YOU a hundredfold!

***wait, I think I was too excited about this, my mind got mixed up! I think I should be writing either “thank you for BEING A PART of my ‘happiness’ campaign” or “thank you for taking part ON my ‘happiness’ campaign”. Forgive me!!!

Last 10 of the 27 things on my birthday wishlist (3)

Finally…the last blog I’m gonna do as a 26-year-old lady, and definitely giving you the last 3 items on my year 27 wishlist.

Number 3

Only true, unselfishly and readily given and everything that is said in this verse…

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.  It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.  Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.  It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.  Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. (1 Cor. 13:4-8)

Number 2

Priorities, alottment, management…something I deserve and not to be begged, something I’m entitled to despite all the busyness that daily life brings…and something that I can make use of and maximize with all my capacity

Lord, make me know my end and what is the measure of my days; let me know how fleeting I am! Behold, you have made my days a few handbreadths, and my lifetime is as nothing before you. Surely all mankind stands as a mere breath! (Psalm 39:4-5)

and Number 1

Lastly, I wish for happiness…pains and trials will never be absent, yet I know fulfillment, not only of these 26 items on the list, will undoubtingly grant me this ultimate wish. I’d like to live my days with bliss and real peace within.

Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. (Psalm 37:4)

And there goes my wishlist…almost half an hour to go and D-day will come knocking in…Will you rejoice with me as I welcome my 27th?

27th…is happiness 🙂
